Care & Safety

Candle and diffuser and room mist spray care and safety:

Reed Diffuser and mist spray:

Tips:

To ensure maximum fragrance performance, follow these guidelines:

Diffusers and mist sprays must be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight as this can degrade product ingredients and affect performance.

Shake reed diffuser bottle before initial use, and shake spray mist bottle each time before use.

Upon initial use, remove stopper and place reeds into the oil, after about 20 – 30 minutes, flip the reeds to ensure that the saturated ends are in the air to begin diffusion.

Use reed diffuser in a spot with gentle air movement to avoid rapid evaporation. Avoid placing diffuser in front of AC vents or fans, or directly in the sun.

Adjust strength: More reeds ensures stronger scent with quicker consumption of the oil, fewer reeds ensures lighter scent and longer oil life. Adjust accordingly.

Flip reeds regularly, every few days to a week for a scent boost, while taking care to not spill oil on surfaces. Do so over a sink or use a cloth to catch oil spills.

Do not use the same reeds for different scents and swap for new one's if they seem clogged or ineffective (this will be obvious when there is no scent throw).

Use new reeds with every diffuser refill.

Safety:

Liquids are flammable: Keep away from open flames and heat sources.

Do not ingest or use for body application.

Keep away from children and animals.

Take care to use products on flat surfaces. Spills may cause damage to polished, painted, plastic or leather surfaces.

Keep mist spray away from flames and heat sources. Spray towards the centre of the room, not straight up or directly on surfaces.

Candles:

Tips:

To ensure maximum candle performance, burn time and safety, follow these guidelines:

Scented candles should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight as this can degrade product ingredients and cause discolouration.

To achieve maximum scent throw and to avoid tunnelling, burn for 2 – 4 hours at a time, this will ensure the formation of an efficient wax pool for maximum scent throw.

Burning a candle for shorter amounts of time will not yield much scent and will result in the candle tunnelling, which will reduce the overall life span of the candle.

Scent fatigue: our wax, fragrances and wick combinations have been optimised for maximum scent throw, however, once you become accustomed to a scent in your space, it may become less obvious to smell over time. Switch up on the scent to reduce fatigue.

Safety:

Allow the wax to cool and solidify before relighting.

Never exceed 4 hours of burn time for bigger candles, and 3 hours for smaller sized candles.

Remember to remove all outer packages before use.

Place candles on a heat resistant and even surface, away from any flammable material.

Burn candle within sight, keeping away from children and animals.

Do not blow out a burning candle, rather snuff the burning wick.

Do not burn the remaining 1 – 1.5cm of wax as this can cause the glass to crack due to excessive heat.
